Day 1

Today I leave for Brazil. Currently I am waiting at Philadelphia Airport for my flight to Atlanta. I had to go through security and show my passport and visa. My flight departs at 2:15pm and arrives at 4:32pm. From Atlanta I will fly to the capital of Brazil. That flight departs at 8:32pm and arrives in Brazil at 7:25am. Good thing I have a window seat so I can sleep! Here are the questions for today:

1. What is a visa? How long can someone use a Brazilian visa before it expires?
2. What is the capital of Brazil?
3. What is the total flight time for my two flights? (I.e. how long do I have to entertain myself while sitting next to a stranger?)
4. How many miles is it from Pemberton, NJ to my final destination (the capital city?) hint: use google maps

    Beware of the Brazilian banana spiders, or the "armadeiras" as they are called. Apparently they are the most venemous spiders in the world (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazilian_wandering_spider). Enjoy!
